About the Speakers

Annie Browne
Passionate about enabling other entrepreneurs, Annie will use this workshop to offer insight into the importance of business organisation, practical tips and advice and support you in creating your own organisational tool kit.
Starting a business from her kitchen table as a mother of two young children, Annie knows exactly what it takes to grow a business, build resilience as an entrepreneur and keep the cogs turning effectively and efficiently.
As the director of Hello My PA, Annie leads a team of virtual assistants, offering remote back office support to small UK businesses and enabling business owners to move to the next level.
Annie is also a Non-Executive Director for Welsh ICE and one of the Directors at Freelance Heroes – woohoo!

Adrian Ashton
Although spending 5 years reading business at a university in Cambridge, and being awarded a PhD during the lockdowns of 2020-1, I’m strangely unconcerned by qualifications (both my own, and others’) and rarely talk about the letters I have before and after my name (to the point that most people don’t realise I have any) – I’m far more interested in lived experience, and how ongoing and current evidence and research can help us figure out about the world we live in, and how we should best try and act in it.
When not on camera or delivering workshop programmes, you’ll probably find me doing 1 of 4 things: building lego; reading pretentious books; watching Dr who (in particular the classic serials); or mucking about in the garden.
Oh, and I’m also the only freelance consultant in the world who annually publishes a social impact report on themselves – considering not just what clients get from having worked with me, but the impact of my business practices on the environment, community, and society at large. Now it it’s 16th year, it’s externally benchmarked and aligned to the UN Global Goals (which didn’t exist when I started to do it!).
