Business governance is changing.
What will future businesses look like if they want to put sustainability at the heart of how they operate? David Lourie, Managing Partner at Good Business, a leading sustainability agency that helps businesses succeed and be ready for the future, will share his insights on current trends.
The expectations of businesses and how they are operating are rapidly evolving. Businesses are thinking differently about their place in society.
In 2022:
- Patagonia announced that they were rethinking their governance structure, moving towards ‘steward-ownership’. 98% of the company shares go towards a non-profit organisations aiming to save the Planet.
- B Corp UK reached 1000+ businesses. All those organisations include mission-aligned legal language in their articles of association.
- Faith in Nature enacted a legal ‘guardianship’ model for Nature. A human representative who is legally bound to speak on behalf of the natural world and act on behalf of Nature.
What are the changing expectations of business? How are other businesses evolving to meet these new expectations? What are the benefits for those businesses willing to evolve? Join us to find out more.
