This week, we meet Carla Barker, Jyoti Rambhai, and Amy Solon who, – in the middle of this new world we call 2020 – have just started their new freelance businesses and have agreed to take us (and you) with them through the highs, lows, and lessons of their new journey.  Ed chats with all 3 to learn more about who they are, why they’re starting now, and what lessons have they learned so far. Enjoy!

About Carla

Bio: Founded in June 2020, Greyrose Marketing is a specialist strategic agency with the aim of helping businesses think differently about their marketing. Unfortunately, I found myself out of a job because of the dreaded COVID, and after trying my hand at near enough everything (ripping up decking, embroidery, decorating to name a few), I was given the idea by a friend to offer my services as part of a “volunteering” experiment. I got lots of interest and I thought I’d take a jump into the unknown and start my own business- and that’s how Greyrose Marketing was born.

I have over 10 years’ experience in this field across a variety of industries including academic publishing, welding and telecoms. I never knew what I wanted to do when I left school and then I fell into marketing by chance and absolutely found my calling!
